Many Jews were reported injured yesterday in widespread disorders that followed in the wake of an anti-Semitic demonstration of 280,000 members of the National Christian Party.

Participants returning home from Sunday’s parade in the capital beat up Jews on trains and attacked Jewish neighbors on arriving at their villages.

Rioters got out of control of the police in the towns of Pascani, Barlad and Vaslui, injuring several Jews before the authorities could call reinforcements to halt the disturbances.
