A call to Moslem religious leaders to desist from their political resistance to Israeli authorities in Jerusalem and the occupied areas was issued in the Knesset (Parliament) this afternoon by Dr. Zerah Warhaftig, Minister for Religious Affairs. Dr. Warhaftig also reported on the extent of damage to Jewish holy places in East Jerusalem during 19 years of Jordanian occupation. He said that restoration of the cemetery on the Mt. of Olives alone would cost $1.7 million.
