Miss Truman Heads Benefit for U.j.a.; 20,000 Attend

More than 20,000 persons last night attended the annual “Night of Stars” arranged by the United Jewish Appeal in Madison Square Garden at which Miss Margaret Truman was mistress of ceremonies.

Mayor Impellitteri, who was one of the speakers, urged full public support for the United Jewish Appeal. Sylvan Gots hal; chairman of the “Night of Stars,” said that the proceeds of the evening would be used to help Israel and Jews in other countries.
