Morocco said it is severing ties with Israel, citing the failure of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, according to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz. Moroccan officials said they would close their consulate in Tel Aviv, and called for Israel to close its liaison office in Rabat. Israel responded that the move “is inconsistent with Morocco’s legacy.”
