A new film depicting Jewish life in Palestine, including many of the ancient customs still surviving, has been prepared by Samuel Edlheit, who recently returned from a fourteen months’ trip through Palestine, Egypt and Syria.

One full reel of the film is devoted to Jewish schools in the Holy Land, from the old-fashioned Oriental schools and Talmud Torahs to the modern schools.

Other scenes photographed were Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, the Arab festival of Nebi Mussa and the Passover celebration of the ancient Samaritan group on the summit of Mount Gerizim.

Passover may be over, but your chance to support independent Jewish journalism isn't. Help JTA keep reporting the stories that define our era.
