Mrs. Effie Wise Ochs, widow of Adolph S. Ochs, publisher of the New York Times, died this morning at her home in White Plains after a heart attack. She was the daughter of Rabbi Isaac M. and Mrs. Wise of Cincinnati. Mrs. Ochs would have been 77 years old tomorrow.
She married Mr. Ochs in 1883. A daughter, Mrs. Arthur Hays Sulzberger, wife of the present publisher of the Times, survives.
