Mt. Sinai Hospital Launches $2,000,000 Drive

The campaign to raise $2,000,000 for improvements to Mount Sinai Hospital. New York, which was launched Monday, is headed by Dr. Witt Millhauser. Buildings constructed in 1901 and 1903 will be modernized, and one new building is to be erected, to accommodate persons of moderate means in semi-private rooms, a branch of the hospital’s service which has been overtaxed. In addition, laboratories will get quarters in cases where they now are inadequately housed.

Mount Sinai, according to the United Hospital Fund report, has furnished more free ward service than any hospital other than city institutions. In addition, it does clinical work and diagnostic service.

Dr. Stephen S. Wise in his sermon at Carnegie Hall. New York next Sunday, January 13, will have as his subject; “Are Jews Like That Dare Jews Criticize Jews:” Dr. Wise will speak on the book “Jews Are Like That” by Analyticus, the pseudonym of James Waterman Wise. Dr. Wise’s son.
