Commenting on the Haganah-Irgun battle in Tel Aviv the New York Time in an editorial today urged the United States to halt the dispatch of funds from this country to dissident groups in the Jewish state.

“It is difficult to see how the U.S. can escape the duty of establishing a control over funds used in violation of its own international obligations and to the disadvantage and confusion of the new Government of Israel,” the paper said.
