Nathan Chanin Heads Workmen’s Circle

At the final session of the National Board of Directors of the Workmen’s Circle, or Arbeiter Ring, last Saturday, Nathan Chanin, well-known Jewish Socialist leader, was elected chairman of the order; A. Dinerstein, vice-chairman; B. Wolff, treasurer; P. Epstein, recording secretary.

B. Miller, in reporting for the Benefit Committee of the Order, stated that because of the hard times more sick benefits were paid out this year than in former years. During the past year $385,000 in sick benefits were paid out.
