Aroused by the Nazi pogroms, noted members of Parliament today publicly condemned the Hitler Government and demanded that the Argentine open wide its doors to admit refugees from Germany. The statesmen were joined in their stand by student and other organizations. A wave of revulsion has swept the nation over the anti-Jewish persecutions in Germany. Even circles hitherto friendly to the Hitler regime have been turned absolutely against it as a result of the pogroms. All sections of the Argentine press are showing increased sympathy for the anti-Nazi movement in the United States and England.
