School authorities in the town of Teritz, Saxony, have urged children to read Julius Streicher’s pornographic anti-Semitic weekly, Der Stuermer, instead of the Old Testament, newspapers reported here today.
In reply to a local Catholic priest who publicly urged parishioners to read the Bible instead of the Stuermer, the school authorities issued an order saying:
“Do not read the Old Testament. Read the Stuermer, for the Old Testament spoils the purity of the child’s soul.”
