Nearly 2,000 persons attended a mass meeting marking Israel Independence Day here, which was addressed by Israel’s new Charge d’Affaires Shamai Cahana, Cabinet Ministers, Government officials and members of the Diplomatic Corps attended a reception given by the Israel envoy here last night. Favorable comment and sympathy for Israel was evident in Cuban press, radio and television coverage of the anniversary events.
