New York’s comptroller called on other state treasurers to buy Israel bonds and reject calls to divest from the Jewish state. The Democratic candidate for New York governor, Carl McCall, blasted the campus movement to have universities sell their holdings in companies that do business with Israel, calling it a “disgrace based on falsehoods.”
