No Evacuation of “enemy Aliens” from Eastern Coastal Area Contemplated, Says Gen. Drum

Definite assurance that no mass-evacuation of persons designated as “enemy aliens” in the Eastern coastal area is contemplated has been given by Lieutenant General Hugh A. Drum, commanding general of the Eastern Defense Command, in an exchange of letters with Ernest Angell, president of the Council For Democracy, the council headquarters announced today.
