The annual conference of the Palestine B’nai B’rith opened here last night with delegates from all parts of the country attending.
The convention decided to establish a children’s home and a youth center in Jerusalem, with social, athletic and recreational facilities. A home for aged members of the organization will be set up in Haifa. The delegates also voted to plant a B’nai B’rith forest on Jewish National Fund land and to organize recreational areas on it.
The convention appealed to Palestine Jewry to preserve its unity and discipline and to halt terrorist activities and continue its struggle “by constructive methods.” It also sent greetings to the World Zionist Congress. Greetings from Henry Monsky, American president of the B’nai B’rith, were read.
