Former President Harry S Truman revealed today at a press conference here that he had met recently in Kansas City with both Jewish and Arab leaders and presented them with a plan for tranquility and economic survival and inter-dependence in the Middle East. He refused to go into details of the plan.

Mr. Truman said that while he was President of the United States he did everything to help both the State of Israel and the Arab countries. He advocated the idea that there should be an equality of arms in the Middle East and that Israel should be part of a military defense set-up for the region.
