A POLISH GOVERNMENT COMMUNIQUE, WITHOUT SPECIFICALLY MENTIONING RECENT ANTI-JEWISH EXCESSES, WARNED TODAY OF STRINGENT MEASURES TO SUPPRESS DISTURBANCES.

RIOTERS WILL BE ARRESTED ON THE SPOT AND PUNISHED WITH ALL THE SEVERITY OF THE LAW, THE COMMUNIQUE SAYS, WHILE IF MINORS ARE AMONG THE ATTACKERS THEIR PARENTS WILL BE PUNISHED.

THE GOVERNMENT BLAMED “IRRESPONSIBLE ELEMENTS” FOR DISTURBANCES TO PUBLIC ORDER IN RECENT WEEKS.

WITH JEWS STILL BEING ATTACKED IN WARSAW STREETS AND PARKS, A CONFERENCE OF POLICE CHIEFS CALLED BY THE CAPITAL’S GOVERNOR DECIDED TODAY TO STRENGTHEN POLICE PATROLS.
