(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

Two hundred Roumanian students who were preparing to leave Jassy for Kishineff to participate in the Roumanian celebrations of Bessarabia’s incorporation into the Kingdom of Roumania were prevented by the police from carrying out their plan.

The measure was taken because of the fear of excesses. The Roumanian press reports that 100,000 visitors from all over Roumania came to Kishineff to participate in the celebrations. Vigorous measures were taken by the police and the military to prevent disorders. No disturbances occurred.
