See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

Palestine’s British administration made strenuous efforts today to uncover a reported shipment of arms by Germany and Italy to Arab rebels.

Police carried on intensive searches in Jaffa for the consignment, said to include 2,000 rifles and considerable ammunition. Vessels in the harbor were searched and crews held under surveillance. Coast Guard detachments were posted on ships leaving for Haifa. Police were on the watch throughout the Southern District, except in Jewish areas.

At the same time, the Palestine Government refused permission for two German airplanes to cross Transjordan en route from Cairo to Baghdad.
