President Bush will “remain persistent” in efforts to get Israel to withdraw from the West Bank, according to spokesman Ari Fleischer. Fleischer also told reporters Wednesday that Bush has no plans to withhold U.S. aid to Israel should Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon refuse to order the troop withdrawal.
