Attorneys for the various factions in the poultry industry met with Judge Otto Rosalsky, the Mayor’s poultry mediator; Arthur Simon, Health Department kashruth investigator, and Leroy Peterson; Live Poultry Code Administrator, in Judge Rosalsky’s chambers in the Criminal Courts Building yesterday to mediate the threatened shochtim strike.

After a six-hour closed conference, no statement was issued to the press. It was reliably reported, however, that Judge Rosalsky intended to reverse his Tusday decision to raise the price of poultry one cent to pay for slaughtering and rabbinical supervision.
