Prime Minister Ariel Sharon admitted his standing in Israel has been hurt by scandal. “There are shadows, certainly. A situation where such daily attacks on me would not have an effect is impossible,” Sharon said in a Yediot Achronot interview published Thursday, referring to revelations that an Israeli recently released from Hezbollah captivity in a costly prisoner swap had ties to the Sharon family.
