Professor Markon, well known Russian Jewish scholar, arrived here from Leningrad on his way to western Europe.

In an interview with the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, Professor Markon stated that he intends to settle in Berlin and that he will assist in the editing of the Jewish encyclopedia which is now being prepared. The eneyclopedia will be published in ten volumes in Hebrew and in German.

An Alumni Association of the Jaffa College, Herzlia, Palestine, was organized in New York by graduates of the college.

A temporary executive committee consisting of Dr. Moses Einhorn, Mr. Sherman and Mr. Burnstein, has been appointed.
