Protest Against Building Stables on Cemetery

Representatives of the Jewish population of the city of Homel protested to the Soviet authorities against the action of the military authorities with regard to the Jewish cemeteries in the town.

Stables for the red army were constructed on the old Jewish cemetery in Homel. On the oldest Jewish cemtery in the town a timber yard was set up. The authorities also destroyed the Catholic cemetery.
