The Jewish prisoners at Acre who went on a four-day hunger strike because they were being kept in jail without cause will have to leave Palestine within two months, otherwise they will be arrested again, it was announced here today.

The strikers, who are charged with illegal entry into the country, have not yet been released on bail, despite the promise of the High Commissioner to release them under $500 bond each. The government officials request that the bail bonds be signed by Palestine citizens who can prove that they possess real estate.

A Jewish committee from Haifa arrived in Jerusalem today to take up with the government office the question of expediting the release of the strikers. The Jewish population in Palestine is watching the developments with tremendous interest.
