Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver, spiritual leader of the “Temple” and prominent in Zionist and civic circles, is a member of the National Citizens Committee for Welfare and Relief Mobilization.
Rabbi Silver is the third Jew named on the Committee, the two others being Felix M. Warburg, Jewish philanthropist of New York, and Lillian D. Wald, of the Henry Street Settlement.
