Rabbi David B. Alpert of Mount Sinai Congregation, Texarkana, has accepted an appointment, effective January 1, 1935, to the pulpit of Congregation Beth El here. He will succeed the late Rabbi M. Faber, for thirty-five years spiritual head of the local temple.

Rabbi Alpert, who has been associated with the Texarkana Congregation for nearly five years, is vice-president of the Texas Kallah of Rabbis. A native of Boston, he studied at Boston and Harvard Universities and was graduated from the Jewish Institute of Religion in 1927.
