Rabbi Elieser Don Yechia, known as the Gaon of Lutzin. Latvia, died in that city at the age of ninety. Rabbi Yechia was rabbi of Lutzin for nearly seventy years.
Rabbi Yechia, who was known as a Talmudic authority, was the author of many books on Halacha. He was one of the most prominent Talmudic authorities in Eastern Europe.
