Rabbi Marc Schneier was elected chairman of the American Section of the World Jewish Congress. Schneier was elected Monday in New York at a meeting that also featured presentations by Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) and the music impresario Russell Simmons, chairman of the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding.
