Rabbi Mordechai Gifter, head of the Telshe Yeshiva in Cleveland, died after a long illness on Jan. 18 at the age of 85. Gifter was a member of Agudath Israel’s Council of Torah Sages. Thousands attended his funeral in Jerusalem.
