The Israel Bond organization honored two prominent New York rabbis and sold $750,000 worth of bonds at a dinner here last night, attended by 200 persons. Guests of honor at the dinner, organized by the Manhattan division of the State of Israel Bonds, were Rabbi Emanuel Rackman, of the Fifth Avenue Synagogue, and Rabbi Joseph H. Lookstein, of Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun. Each was cited for his role as a spiritual leader, educator, scholar and “champion of Israel.” Michael Arnon, Israel’s Consul-General in New York, was guest speaker.
