An official communique disclosed today that a Jewish traveling salesman has been jailed in Magdeburg for refusing to shake hands with “Aryan” sales girls in a store in which he was soliciting orders for fear that he would be arrested for “Rassenschande” (race defilement).
The salesman, whose name was not revealed, stated that his fear of arrest had been aroused by the arrest of the Jewish employes of the Bachrach Brothers department store on “Rassenschande” charges, the communique said.
