Germany’s economic penetration of central and southeastern Europe was advanced another step today with the announcement that a new commercial accord had been signed between Rumania and the Reich. Rumanian government spokesmen declared that the new accord provided numerous advantages for Rumanian merchants. Under the agreement, signed here yesterday, Rumania will deliver petroleum, 40,000 cars of wheat and 25,000 cars of corn to the Reich along with large quantities of forage. The mark quotation established by the accord for trade transactions is favorable to this country, it was said.
