Rep, Arthur D. Klein of New York has asked the Federal Communications Commission for information concerning the status of an investigation of charges of religious bias in the news policies of Station KMPC of Los Angeles, he revealed here today.

In March, I948, a formal complaint was lodged with the F.C.C. against the station and its president, G.A. Richards, who also controls WJR, in Detroit, and WGAR, in Cleveland. The Commission ordered an investigation on March 10. Rep. Klein’s letter to the F.C.C. asserts that “rudimentary justice would suggest the desirability of an early public determination of the truth of the grave charges exchanged.”
