Samuel Reshevsky young Jewish chess player of New York, today won the International Masters’ Tournament of the Kent County Chess Association, contested at Margate, Eng.

Ten leading chess players of the world participated in the tournament. Reshevsky won by a margin of half a point. He gained the lead by defeating Jose R. Capablanca, internationally known master, early in the tournament and was never headed.
