One of the first things President Roosevelt did last week when he arrived on American shores after his vacation cruise, was to cut some cake baked especially for him by Mrs. Ben Meyer of this city.

On his way to make a speech at Coulee Dam, he and his party were treated to twenty cakes by Mrs. Meyer, who bakes for the Great Northwestern Railroad. She said she was proud to have had the President of the United States sample her baking.
