Shmaryahu Kaczerginsky, famous Jewish novelist and former anti-Nazi partisan in Poland, died in a plane crash in the Argentine interior, it was announced here today. He was 46.
Mr. Kaczerginsky, who wrote “I was a Partisan, ” came to this country from Paris after the war in a party of Jewish writers from East European countries. During the Nazi occupation of Poland he lived in the Wilna Ghetto. He was most recently manager of the publishing firm “Kium” here.
