Samuel Flatto-Sharon, who failed to gain re-election to the Knesset and is awaiting his appeal to the Supreme Court against a nine-month prison sentence for pre-election bribery four years ago, slipped out of the country quietly last week. Flatto-Sharon, whose extradition to France has been requested by Paris where he was sentenced in absentia to a 10-year prison term for embezzlement, is said to be in Ecuador on business.
