Shpak Sentenced to Death; Later Sentence Commuted to Ten Years

The Ukrainian leader, Attaman Shpak, responsible for many pogroms on the Jewish population of South Russia was sentenced to death today. The Court, however, later commuted his sentence to ten years in prison.
