Six Jewish day school students raised $5,000 for Israeli and American victims of terrorism by making and selling patriotic pins. The eighth graders from Solomon Schechter Day School of Nassau County, in Glen Cove, N.Y. began the project the first weekend after Sept. 11 and have sold 2,000 emblems made of red, white and blue beads and safety pins. They donated the money to the terrorist victim fund at UJA-Federation of New York.
