The Seismological Institute of Israel’s Institute of Geology reported that a minor earth tremor measuring four points on the Richter scale was felt in the Jordan valley lost Thursday night. The epicenter was reported to have been some 30 miles northeast of Jerusalem. The shock was felt in some high-rise buildings in Jerusalem. Furniture was shaken but there was no damage, according to the report. The Jordan valley, part of the Syro-African rift, is known for seismic activity which caused a great deal of destruction in past.
