A report that Larratt Battersby, notorious South African pro-Nazi who publishes the rabble-rousing quarterly, “Nation,” may find it difficult to return to South Africa from Britain where he went recently to raise funds for his anti-Semitic campaigns appeared today in the Pretoria News.
The News pointed out that the South African Minister of Justice, in a recent statement to Parliament, declared that if Battersby’s actions became dangerous to the welfare of the country, he “would be dealt with”. It was also noted that many supporters of the government have found Battersby’s statements deifying Hitler “offensive to Christians”.
