Some 250 Czech children received prizes for paintings and essays remembering the Holocaust. “Encouraging children to paint and write is a way of educating them, to make sure they know about their history and understand what happened,” said Hana Greenfield, a Holocaust survivor who organized Wednesday’s event at the Terezin Ghetto museum.
