Some 50 college students arrived in Buenos Aires on Tuesday to volunteer with the Jewish communities of Argentina and Uruguay. The goal of the month-long, student-inspired mission, comprised mostly of Americans, is to “express solidarity” with Jews who have been hit hard by the economic and political crises in the two South American countries, said Shaanan Meyerstein, the Columbia University sophomore who organized the trip.
