Ica Can Settle 200,000 More in Colonies, Berlin Conference Hears (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

South America was described as the only part of the globe where considerable numbers of Jewish immigrants can be absorbed, particularly sailed workers, artisans and farmers, if property guided and aided, in the reports submitted to the Jewish emigration conference of the Jewish Colonization Association the Hias and the Emigdireln.

The United States, in so far as Jewish immigration is concerned, is practically a terra clause, Eduard Gmagre of the Jewish Colonization Association stated in his report.

Palestine was, during the years 1923-1925, a first rate Jewish immigration center, but the crisis has caused a cessation and a re-emigration. In the speaker’s opinion it is not Ekely that Palestine will in the near future become an immigration center.

Some immigration to South Africa and to Australia is being attempted, Dr. Leo Bramson reported, but the largest opportunities are to South America where skilled workers and farmers who are working to do hard but well paid work, can ## satisfactory living conditions.

The Jewish Colonization Association colonies which already have a Jewish population of 50,000 can afford the possibility of settling an additional 200,000 ## the ## and Brazil.
