Staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Uzbekistan were instructed to leave the country. Heightened security concerns forced the evacuation last Friday, Israeli Foreign Ministry officials told The Associated Press. There is a growing terrorist threat in the country, which the U.S. State Department acknowledged last week. Israeli Ambassador Ami Mel and security officials remain in the country.
