The State Department today disavowed any knowledge of a report from Jaffa that the ex-Mufti is preparing to leave Cairo for Jerusalem to assume leadership of the Arab League.
A spokesman for the British Information Service here, informed of the report, said that the former Mufti is not wanted and would not be welcome in Jerucalem, and that, if detected there, would be arrested.
