State-run Czech Television said it will appeal a $15,000 fine imposed by television watchdogs for airing a joke last year that made light of the Holocaust. When imposing the fine, the Czech Radio and Television Broadcasting Council said the joke belittled the treatment of Jews in Nazi concentration camps and was “cruel and inhumane.”
