Comte De Martel, French High Commissioner for Syria, today ordered the Syria-Palestine frontier closed between the hours of seven in the evening to daybreak. The Palestine Government is constructing a barbed-wire barricade along the entire northern frontier to prevent infiltration of terrorists from Syria, and Comte de Martel’s action is believed to have been taken at the request of the Jerusalem authorities.
