The American branch of the World Jewish Congress plans to donate $100,000 to the Russian Jewish community Friday to help improve security at Jewish institutions throughout Russia. Expected at Friday’s event are Moscow Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt and Leopold Kaimovsky, the victim of a stabbing attack last July at Moscow’s Choral Synagogue.
